The main character, Lee, is a troubled fry who loses his spawn at a young age and his tyro hunts devil jobs to pay the bills. He gets caught trying to present and enter into an gondola shop while doing initiation for the Tarantulas, a local confederacy in Hamilton, Ontario. The Tarantulas set him up and immediately he is at a lower place arrest. He is sent to live and work in his auntie Reenas cafe in Toronto.
